Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: My equipment and back-up items may differ according to the event. Refer to details on my photography page under the Portfolio link on RAinsites.com.
Q: What is a DVD slideshow?

A: A DVD slideshow is a compilation of images from your photo shoot that you can watch on your dvd player/tv. A song can be added to play during the slideshow. Each photo diplays for approximately 5 seconds (depending on how many images are presented).
Q: What is a custom album?
A: A custom album is designed by you and the photographer and printed and bound by an album company. These albums are called "Flush" albums. The images are printed directly onto the page. Similar to a coffee table book, the custom album may have a variety of images displayed in it. A link will be sent to you and you'll be able to choose the images for your custom album. The pages will then be designed and you will be able to view the pages before they are printed. Currently 10x10 and 5x7 albums are included in some of the packages but can be purchased seperately as well. These albums take approximately 2-4 weeks to be printed and bound.

Q: I would like to talk to you about photographing for my wedding, what is the best way to get in to

A: You may use the CONTACT link on our website or contact by phone. Please leave a message with your name and number if I don't answer right away, I will return the call as soon as possible.
Q. How would you describe your wedding photography style?

A: Wedding photography styles fall into two categories: photojournalistic and formal. Photojournalistic (or candid) photos are not posed and are natural. They provide natural life to your images without interference of the photographer staging the shot, and are often the more preferred prints. Formal shots tend to be more posed. I incorporate both, but am mostly inspired by the spontaneity of the photojournalistic approach. This will allow you to spend more time with your guests enjoying your wedding rather than spending the day posing for photographs.
Q: When does the wedding amount need to be paid by?

A: The full amount of the package you agreed upon in the contract will need to be paid before the wedding date. Additional prints and packages are still available to you and your family and friends from the RAinsites Login menu option provided they have your event code.
Q: How much do I need to put down to book my wedding date?
A: To reserve your date, a deposit will be required and the amount is specified in your chosen package. This amount will be applied to your package. The deposit is non refundable if your wedding date is cancelled or rescheduled. You can make this payment via our online catalog under PREPAID DEPOSITS for your chosen package.
Q: Do you provide digital files?
A: Yes, Digital files are included in some packages. These are high resolution images that you are able to provide to a photo lab to make your reprints (which will require you to accompany with RAinsites proof release form showing your ownership, otherwise photo labs WILL NOT print your images and may confiscate your files). If digital proofs are not included in the package, they can be purchased.
Q: Do you offer wedding packages?

Q: If I want a package including a free photoshoot, do I still pay for the session?
Yes, all photoshoots require a payment (or deposit) for the session. You will notice though that the prices for packages which include a free session fee have already subtracted the session amount from the total which can be found in the detailed description.

Session fees pay for processing, basic touchups and photographer’s time. Digital archiving of the session’s images and your private online gallery are also included. These fees are non-refundable & are due at time of scheduled shoot.
Q: Who and what should I bring to the session?
A: It is best to only bring the persons being photographed to your session. Feel free to bring any props you'd like. You should bring any essential grooming supplies also.
(brush/comb, touch up makeup, etc.)
Q: What should we wear?
A: Simple clothing for children and adults is recommended. Bare feet are great for kids. Try to avoid busy patterns and logos which are distracting in photos. Bring as many outfits as you'd like. I will help you choose if you are undecided. There is no restriction to outfit changes for the session.
Q: How long does a typical photo shoot take?
A: It usually takes about an hour. This gives me time to work with a variety of poses as well as different backgrounds and lighting conditions. Variables such as group size, location, project, etc. may increase the time of the session. When making your appointment, an estimate can be given.
Q: What type of photography do you shoot?
A: My primary style of photography is creative lifestyle portraits in natural surroundings, a.k.a. photojournalistic. I work most with portraiture of children, individuals and groups, weddings, and various events. I also love to shoot animals, nature, scenery and cities. I also have a small fascination with clouds.
Q: How long have you been photographing?

A: I have been behind a camera right out of high school in 2002. I started with an infatuation of nature and places using panoramic film. Since then I began shooting friends and family using digital SLR quickly followed by professionally shooting events and portraits.
Q: Do you have a studio?
A: RAinsites takes a mobile studio along to meet you where you are whether you prefer your home, a park, or some other favorite place.
